A Star is Born

Woohoo! A great weekend spent working on stuff for the 2011 display. We are building a Star that will go on the second floor roof. Many thanks to the Holdman family for the design assistance. We are following their step-by-step approach and design which can be found here: Holdman Christmas Lights . Two weeks ago we cut out the star and this weekend was spent drilling about 175 holes for the C9 lights. After that, we installed and cut the 7 strings to size for the three different channels I will be using. Once cut and tested, we removed the lights, and boxed up the string for re-installation toward the end of October. We then sanded, primed and painted the star. Next up will be the stand (also can be seen on the Holdman Christmas Lights webpage) and work on the Santa and Mrs. Claus cut outs.

Last week, the new clear C9 bulbs arrived. I ordered them from 1000 bulbs. Also arriving was the new plugs and SPT1 wire that I ordered from Christmas Light Show.com.

The one thing about all this decorating and ordering – it feels a little like Christmas morning with packages arriving all of the time! LOL

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I¡¯ll try to get the hang of it!

You could definitely see your skills in the work you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to mention how they believe. Always follow your heart. “The point of quotations is that one can use another’s words to be insulting.” by Amanda Cross.
