Driveway Arches Up!
October 31st, 2012Here we go! Needed room in the garage so we put the arches up before Halloween (traditionally we don’t set anything up before) this year! Just a couple more days until the big setup weekend!
DMX North Pole Project
October 29th, 2012The awesome North Pole project is underway! The pics below show the initial steps in creating these. Each North Pole will be used to support an arch of lights, creating an arch fence with the North Poles acting as fence posts. More pics to be added as we continue.
Megatree Setup
October 21st, 2012What is better than a 68 degree in October? How about 68 and putting the main pole in the ground!?! Could NOT have been a better day to put the first element of the 2012 display up (even if it is a week earlier than normal). Here we go for 2012!
DMX and RGB Floods
October 8th, 2012New this year is our addition of DMX (including power over CAT5 (or PoE). It has been a little bit of a rocky road working through this as there are several nuances to making it work correctly. However, thanks to the tremendous support in the holiday lighting community as well as 110% support and help from holidaycoro.com, I have my first project ready for implementation. These floods will be used outdoors as wall washes this year.
Mini Tree Rope Light Project
September 28th, 2012Building 16 LED Rope Light Mini Trees for this years display. I am using tomato cages with the bottoms welded together for the point. I will post more as we progress.
